Emotional Intelligence

In addition to the external reality learns to react to it in a subjective way, emotions, skills, clear understanding, appreciation, and control their positive guidance is defined as emotional intelligence.Emotional intelligence is not the opposite, but just different, complementary capabilities in relation to the rational intelligence.

Every day we witness a number of reports that we serve media that reflect all expressed the collective emotional crisis. The growing emotional inadequacy, despair and recklessness potupaka man started to self-employment to those generated by the interaction with other members of the community. At each step, with an increase in violence and despair, whether in quiet seclusion of the children instead of the girl next door keeps the TV set, the pain of abandoned and abused children, or in an ugly picture of domestic violence. There is a growing wave of aggression - teenagers with guns in schools, traffic accidents, angry partners who take "justice" into their own hands ... All these pictures and words have entered the everyday vocabulary and the motto on not more cheerful phrase "Have a nice day", but irritably, "Come on, go ahead, amuse me!"

Ability of being in the community puts emotions at the center of life skills. The mere knowledge in the field of emotion allows us to realize full intellectual potential, emotional balance will preserve our most precious relationships in any sphere of life. Ethical stances in life stem from the emotional potential of each individual. If there are two moral attitudes which are necessary to our time are just self-control and compassion.

Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle's philosophical questioning of virtue, character and good life sets before us the challenge of managing emotional life in an intelligent way. Our passion, when they are expressed in an appropriate manner, contain wisdom lead our thinking, based on our value system. But it can be easily carried and often inadequate. The problem lies not in the emotions, but the emotions and the appropriateness of its expression. Enter intelligence and rational process the emotions that overwhelm us preserves humanity and concern to themselves and then to those with which makes contact.

The nature of emotion and emotional expression

All the emotions are actually reactions that lead us to action, even in
the root of the word emotion is the verb 'promoters', which in Latin means
"Move" while the prefix "e-" indicates a move away. In the most literal sense, the dictionary Oxford English Dictionary defines the word emotion as: "any excitement or agitation of mind, feeling, passion; any severe or excited mental state."

There are hundreds of emotions, and their mixtures, variation, mutation and shades, a lot of subtle differences among emotions than we have words for them. There is a categorization of emotions but a division of the most common places them in the following groups:

• Anger: anger, bitterness, resentment, anger, resentment, indignation, annoyance, bitterness, hatred, anxiety, irritability, hostility, and, perhaps as a final value of pathological hatred and violence

• Resignation: Unfortunately, pain, neveselost, depression, melancholy, self-pity, loneliness, despair and pathological cases of severe depression

• Fear: anxiety, fear, nervousness, anxiety, consternation, foreboding, vigilance, anxiety, tension, horror, fright, horror, in psychopathology, phobia and panic

• Happiness: happiness, pleasure, relief, satisfaction, bliss, delight, zabavljenost, pride, sensual pleasure, excitement, enthusiasm, joy, satisfaction, euforičnost, playfulness, and ecstatic extremes, mania

• Love: accepting, friendly affection, trust, kindness, preference, loyalty, passion, adoration, and platonic love

• amazed: shock, consternation, astonishment, amazement

• Disgust: contempt, disdain, understatement, disgust, distaste, aversion, disgust

• Shame: guilt, embarrassment, grief, shame, regret, sorrow and remorse

Inside the mechanics of emotion, every feeling has its own distinctive repertoire of thoughts, reactions, and even memories. These repertoires that depend on the states become dominant in those moments when we feel intense emotions. Emotional reactions shapes our life and evidence-culture. Just a man from all other creatures on the planet differentiated mind, consciousness, which assesses the ability to reflect strong impulsive and sometimes irrational and emotional influence that shapes the action. Just as our actions are deliberate and conscious thoughts that excite them and thus able to create the ultimate act and see the possible effects.

People are often able to justify their actions by claiming that they were emotionally overwhelmed, their excuse is always sound familiar: "I can choose what I feel," creating the illusion that things are just "happened" and that it is not a choice, and therefore no personal responsibility for the consequences. However, this is a kind of substitute thesis which was manipulated with others. We can not rationally decide what emotion we "should" feel, but what we can control the flow and channel their external manifestation. Act indiscriminately without logical connection of cause and effect always seems autistic man for the environment.

Each of us has known the powerlessness assurances emotionally excited people because the presentation of raw emotion and categorical samopotvrdjujuće always, always an indication that a person is overcome unconventional thinking characteristic of childhood - the dichotomy of emotional / rational fit in ordinary language highlighted in a speech about the difference izmejdu "heart "and" head ". For the harmony of feelings and thoughts are essential thoughts feelings.Emotional explosions or as the jargon says, "I broke the film" introduces a man to a state of emotional blindness because the reflection off losing the perception of an event and the importance of leading man always irrational actions and the ultimate effect is rarely favorable to the man himself, his loved ones and the environment.

The emotions are still there, but without the emotional ratios as guards brought only desolation. The value of our emotional repertoire is reflected exactly in the same intellectual process and choose to stylize his experience and modify emotional expressions. If they have invested time and effort in exploring and expanding their range of expression qualitatively the same emotions then we would not need laws and ethical codes - Code of Hammurabi, the Ten Commandments ... so we always choose the best response, able to "fly" adjustments and we find a intelligent balance between feelings and thoughts.
